The Boat House, Caerhays Castle
The Boat House location is superbly set on the beach in the hamlet of East Portholland, surrounded by the Caerhays Estate. Its name, "The Boat House", reflects the original use of the building. Guests of this retreat have free access to the Castle gardens, being one of Cornwall's Great Gardens, a spring time paradise and horticultural treasure trove.
The Boat House comprises two levels with reversed accommodation taking full advantage of the magnificent views.
Lounge/dining room
Large open plan room featuring huge whitewashed trussed ceiling and arched window to side elevation, allowing light to flood in. Nautical fabrics by Laura Ashley help portray its beach side location.
Kitchen
Open plan, with every modern appliance catering for all your needs. Including dishwasher, microwave, fridge and separate freezer, and washer/dryer.
Master bedroom
Ivory double bed with dreamy fabrics and the window overlooking a sandy beach. The en-suite shower room has a quality finish with mosaic tiles and corner shower.
Twin bedroom
A delightful bedroom with twin beds featuring custom made headboards. The views again overlook the picturesque Cornish coastline.
Family bathroom
The beach room, white, blue, just perfect. Bath with all those little extras. Fluffy towels are provided.
Outside
Parking for one car directly in front of the Boat House. Alternatively, you can park on the quay leaving the area free for BBQ's and watching the tide come in.
