The Engine House

The Engine House is set within the grounds of Caerhays Castle Gardens. Its location is superb being close to the secluded Porthluney beach, and the equally unspoilt Portholland beach. Commissioned and decorated by Niche Interiors.

The Engine house offers accommodation of the highest standards and Niche is proud to announce its five star grading from the English Tourist Council, assuring our guests of excellent quality throughout.

The Engine House comprises of a single level dwelling, surrounded by its own private gardens, with off road parking for three cars. Guests will also have free access to the Castle gardens which literally adjoin the retreat. There are some time restrictions for access to the gardens notably during the shooting season, September - February.

Main bedroom
Wrought iron antique 5ft bed retrieved from the estate stores, beautiful fabrics with exceptional finishing.

Twin bedded room
A perfect room for guests - tranquil fabrics and guest comfort is always top of our list.

The lounge
Open plan with exposed timber trusses, wooden floors, and wood burner provides that real country retreat feel. Luxurious furnishings and fully equipped with music centre, TV/video and payphone.

Kitchen/open plan dining area
Beautifully presented, with shaker design kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge and separate freezer.
Utility room with second toilet and laundry facilities (washing machine/dryer). A secure gun locker is also provided. The Engine House is fully centrally heated.

Garden area
Lovely private garden, ideal for the safety of the little ones. Garden furniture and BBQ provided.
