Niche Retreats

With bustling harbours, long sandy beaches, beautiful gardens and a cliff top theatre, there is something for everyone in Cornwall.

Beach guide

In Cornwall you are never far from a beautiful beach, whether you are looking for rock pools for the children, some good waves for surfing or a hidden cove to escape to we can help you find it.

Porthleven Beach

Porthleven beach is separated from the harbour by the granite pier. When the tide is out there are plenty of rockpools to investigate and it is also possible to walk in an easterly direction along the beach for three miles, past Loe Bar and Penrose Estate. Alternatively, you can walk along the coast path out of the village with the Porthleven beach below you.
The reef to the right hand side of the harbour is considered one of the best breaks in the UK therefore it does attract many experienced surfers and body boarders alike. Dogs are only banned in the summer from the first 400m of beach- the remaining miles can be enjoyed with your pet all year round.

Caerhays Beach

Porthluney Cove at Caerhays overlooked by the castle has something for everyone and is the perfect family Cornish Beach. Free from power boats and jet skis there is plenty of space to run and play, a beach cafe and shop and a large car park so you don't have to carry your bags for miles onto the sand. Dogs on leads are welcome all year round.
