Porthleven is the perfect spot for a holiday as active or indolent as you'd like. Between the Lizard to the east and Land's End to the west, it's a fishing village with a harbour at its hub, surrounded by restaurants, shops and fishermen's houses.

Chapel Downs is situated in the beautiful little fishing harbour of Porthleven. The property can sleep 7 guests and is ideally suited to the large extended family or, because of its layout, for families accompanied by grandparents or in-laws. To take advantage of the sea views the living accommodation has been reversed.

Lounge (first floor)
Probably the most stunning room in the house it is situated on the first floor and extends the full width of the property. It is a huge room, tastefully decorated with restful decor, and for those chill evenings a gas effect fire provides gentle warmth to ensure utmost comfort for our guests. The views over the sea and coastline are the outstanding feature of this lounge.

Kitchen (ground floor)
Situated on the ground floor is large and spacious. Its fully equipped with top quality appliances. For those guests who might wish to cook a "high meal" everything is there ready for you including a serving hatch to...

Dining room
Situated on the lower ground floor this is a functional room with a Rayburn oven providing background warmth and a huge table ideal for those evenings of family get togethers or for a touch of "upstairs downstairs", hire our chef to come and prepare one of his culinary delights and serve it through the hatch.

The Utility room
Is located on the same level as the kitchen and is quite large and comes fully equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer. Access to the garden and to the annexe accommodation is gained through this room. Because this section of the property can be isolated from the main accommodation many of our pet owning guests use this room as their pet sleeping space!

Master bedroom
Located on the first floor this room overlooks the garden. Fitted with a 5ft luxury bed and high quality furniture it all blends well with the sympathetic decor.

Main Bathroom
This is virtually en suite with the master bedroom being on the same half landing and adjacent to it. Containing bath and hand shower.

Twin bedroom
Is on the ground floor adjacent to the dining room. Convenient for those guests who find it difficult to climb stairs, the room is fitted with two single beds set in decor both soothing and restful.

Second bathroom
This is a functional room on the ground floor containing a shower hand basin and toilet.

Children's room
On the ground floor with a day bed for a child but can convert up to a double for other children. Fun fabrics and decor.

Guest bedroom annex
Tucked away in the second wing of the retreat featuring heavy beamed ceiling and fitted with wrought iron bed. There is an en-suite facility comprising a toilet and wash hand basin.This room provides an ideal "get away" from it all.

Garden
The garden which is secure, is laid to lawn and rises to the rear providing numerous BBQ and seating sites. At its peak our guests have splendid views of the extended coastline. At the front dedicated parking for two cars.
