Turn down the pathway and there it is: your secluded retreat. Your secret hideaway, perfect to get away from everything except romance. Absolute peace and quiet and a world of private spaces. Just for two.
Stroll down the garden path, past the pond with that inviting hammock, across the lawns complete with deckchairs for two and you know you’re on your way to something special. And there it is – your very own private spot, a haven of peace and quiet for just the two of you.
Inside the tasteful barn conversion, it’s all about space and light. Pale oak floors spread out to pure white walls and huge picture windows looking onto the lawns and woodlands beyond. Serene seascapes by a local artist dot the walls adding to the sense of peace and tranquillity.
This is a hideaway where you’ll find you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to sitting back to relax. Snuggle up on the deep leather sofa in front of a cosy woodfire. Sink back in the deckchairs – in the sun or the shade, you choose. Or gently recline on the hammock under the trees next to the dreamy pond. Birdsong and the rustling of leaves are all you’ll hear.
Dine in the intimate corner within the open-plan living space or outside on the patio as you soak up the absolute peace and quiet. And come night time, relax still further. First in the charming pedestal bath and then in the impossibly comfy super king-size bed.
And you won’t see a soul unless you venture beyond the lawns and pond where you’ll discover the treats of medieval Sandwich and the seaside town of Deal. And when that gentle hustle and bustle tires you can return to your very own secret hideaway away from everything except romance. With just the two of you.
Bedroom and bathroom
The Hideaway has one bedroom with super king-size bed, views to the garden and a feature wall. The en suite bathroom with Amtico flooring includes a pedestal bath and separate walk-in shower.
Lovely, quiet retreat. Nice selection of groceries provided, eg milk, bread, cake, tea etc.
It was lovely!
Superb accommodation, would highly recommend.
Lovely quiet cosy cottage with everything you could possibly need in it. Hosts are fantastic and nothing too much bother, welcome basket was much appreciated after a long journey
Out of this world for peacefulness Found every aspect of our holiday brilliant. Many thanks
This is our second visit to The Hideaway. It couldn't be bettered in any way.
Great holiday and service from all.
The property was lovely with loads of birds around. It was great to be able to open all the doors on a beautiful day. Very peaceful and the welcome box was amazing.
Delighted with our choice. Would certainly come here again. Lovely setting, really good property, generously equipped. Nice owners, friendly while leaving us in peace. Absolutely first class.
Superb welcome goodies, very friendly owners, would recommend without hesitation your company and individual cottages
Celebrated our honeymoon here at The Hideaway. What an idyllic cottage, clean, cosy and comfortable. We walked to Finglesham which is about a 2 mile walk where we enjoyed a lovely meal and a few warming drinks at The Crown Inn. Explored Deal, we ate at local restaurant. Would highly recommend.
So pleased we chose The Hideaway for our Christmas break. Thank you for such a clean, cosy cottage, the welcome goodies and for making it a real home from home. We certainly will recommend it.
The Hide away was everything we needed for our break, peaceful and well situated for visiting the local area, the property contained everything we needed for a few days away you just needed to provide the food and even then we had a welcome pack waiting for us.
A much needed break for both of us to relax, unwind and enjoy each others company, talking, laughing and chilling in front of a lovely log fire. Yes we visited all the local tourist attractions but we always enjoyed returning to the Hideaway.
What a lovely change from Los Angeles. Exactly what we were looking for.Open space, fresh air, green vistas, cool weather and ancient history. I wish we had more time to spend here. Hopefully we will be back someday.
I can highly recommend this property!
Well equipped excellent property with friendly & helpful owners.
The local area was very good for a holiday cottage, near beaches, castles, walks, Canterbury and Sandwich and the sea. The owners were the first to have a proper map of the area for walkers and lots of info. nicely presented for guests. It was tastefully decorated and a comfortable place to stay.
