This first impression really hits the spot – the elegant stone and slate façade heralds the stunning conversion of humble stables into stylish holiday home where there’s room for everyone. The style continues beyond the double glazed front door when you step across the natural slate floor into a world of natural light and wood. An ash wood staircase curves gracefully upwards to the first floor while beams rise high above you.

Take a side step into the living room, flooded with Devonshire sunshine by day and where outsize sumptuous leather sofas beckon before a feature fireplace. And while you’re enjoying that evening little something, the woodstove crackles comfortingly. All of you will dine like kings in the spacious eat-in kitchen, fitted with all you need for any culinary creation. Or take your feast al fresco onto the private patio in the garden.

The upstairs accommodation, accessible via a wheelchair lift, divides handily into two sections giving affording privacy if needed. Each section houses two comfortable bedrooms, all with super king beds, and a spacious bathroom fitted with modern fixtures.

The Stables really do provide a holiday for everyone – this is a fully accessible property with wheelchair lift access to the first floor and wet room. And it isn’t just about friends and family either; up to three pets are more than welcome. Relax in style with your loved ones and furry friends.

The Stables sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms, all with super king beds and on the first floor, with wheelchair lift access. 2 fully equipped bathrooms are on the first floor plus there’s an accessible wet room downstairs.

This property is exceeded our expectations, location was perfect, spotlessly clean, very pet friendly. The owners were very helpful and provided great recommendations for a local Sunday Roast! An ideal property for large or 2 families to share. We plan to visit The Stables again for sure as we all had a fantastic time!

Situated within Lynton town, opposite the cliff railway and close to shops, restaurants. Parking within the gated establishment for 2 cars, additional car parked in car park with parking permit. Good living arrangements, ample seating and very comfortable beds. Well equipped. Outdoor seating areas in the small garden. Very quiet location and a good base for touring the north Devon area.

we this property hired for our hiking holiday as it was close to the SW Coastal path and it was beyond our expectations. It was so well equipped in the kitchen better than my own! the lounge was delightful and all the beds were very comfy. We have hired a few houses for our hiking holidays and this one was the best and had a great layout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lynton

The Stables is a lovely property right in the centre of Lynton, where we have been regular visitors for decades – testimony to the location! The photos didn’t do the living room and kitchen justice, they were large, bright and airy spaces for relaxing and sharing time with others. We really liked the upstairs arrangement too, where two families could have private bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside space was small but adequate for our needs. It was well equipped, a lot of the cupboards were utilised as storage. There wasn’t a key safe or a safe in the property which sleeps 8, and there is only one key, this made it difficult to be independent without compromising the security of our belongings and corporate equipment, so a key safe would be a ‘wish-list’ item for us. Only a small thing, but the hedge was overgrown making it tricky to comfortably put the gate on and off the hook, but a quick trim would fix that! It was difficult to want for anything in this property, I would put it in the top 5 properties we have visited in this area and I would have no hesitation recommending it.
