Description

Turn down the pathway and there it is: your secluded retreat. Your secret hideaway, perfect to get away from everything except romance. Absolute peace and quiet and a world of private spaces. Just for two.

Romantic retreat

Stroll down the garden path, past the pond with that inviting hammock, across the lawns complete with deckchairs for two and you know you’re on your way to something special. And there it is – your very own private spot, a haven of peace and quiet for just the two of you.

Inside the tasteful barn conversion, it’s all about space and light. Pale oak floors spread out to pure white walls and huge picture windows looking onto the lawns and woodlands beyond. Serene seascapes by a local artist dot the walls adding to the sense of peace and tranquillity.

This is a hideaway where you’ll find you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to sitting back to relax. Snuggle up on the deep leather sofa in front of a cosy woodfire. Sink back in the deckchairs – in the sun or the shade, you choose. Or gently recline on the hammock under the trees next to the dreamy pond. Birdsong and the rustling of leaves are all you’ll hear.

Dine in the intimate corner within the open-plan living space or outside on the patio as you soak up the absolute peace and quiet. And come night time, relax still further. First in the charming pedestal bath and then in the impossibly comfy super king-size bed.

And you won’t see a soul unless you venture beyond the lawns and pond where you’ll discover the treats of medieval Sandwich and the seaside town of Deal. And when that gentle hustle and bustle tires you can return to your very own secret hideaway away from everything except romance.  With just the two of you.

Bedroom and bathroom

The Hideaway has one bedroom with super king-size bed, views to the garden and a feature wall. The en suite bathroom with Amtico flooring includes a pedestal bath and separate walk-in shower.

Reviews

Excellent property great quiet location

Mrs W,

The property was exactly as described, even better than the photos. It's in a great quiet location, with many places of interest, within easy reach. It's a lovely place to relax in too, with nice gardens or take a short walk into the village and enjoy a great meal at The Blue Pigeons. Would definitely recommend to family & friends. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break, thank you.

Miss W,

A wonderfully appointed cottage with everything you need. It’s superbly located close to many interesting castles, churches, Canterbury and Dover too. We were able to walk from the cottage to the coast as well as to Sandwich, Deal and Richborough. The cottage is in a very quiet location with the owners close enough at hand, should they be required. The quality of the cottage conversion was superb and it contained everything and more that we might have required.

Dr W,

The Hideaway really is everything you need for a relaxing stay for two in such a lovely setting. We felt extremely comfortable in the well laid out accommodation which provided us with everything we needed and more. The local area offered plenty of walking on the many footpaths/bridleways and we also found lots of places to explore on our bikes.

Mrs L,

A very comfortable and well appointed property in a convenient location for exploring this part of Kent on a bicycle. The owner was very welcoming and quick to respond to any requests. We look forward to a return visit.

Miss R,

The hosts were very accommodating. There was a problem with the shower which was rectified as soon as possible. It was a beautiful property, and it was ideal for a couple - we’d love to come back and enjoy it all again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
