Description

Tucked away down a leafy lane in the tranquil River Camel Valley is this little piece of Cornish heaven. The stable is a newly converted barn offering spacious, stylish accommodation. It's just divine, with high ceilings, granite worktops, funky sofas, painted wood furniture, contemporary soft furnishings and all of this overlooking extensive grounds. It is perfect for a couple or family seeking a relaxing holiday in a stunning location.

Bringing bikes or hiring them locally is highly recommended as The Stable is located right next to the Camel Trail, which offers 18 miles of off road walking and cycling. You can cycle through the old market town of Wadebridge and on to Padstow and the Camel estuary one way or inland to The Snail Pace cafe found at Wenford Bridge on Bodmin Moor. The Stable provides a secure building for storing bikes and surfboards, etc.

The grounds also include a stretch of the River Camel that is accessible to guests who can fish on the private land of The Dairy (please note that a Rod Licence for fishing needs to be purchased).

Ideally located for exploring the whole of Cornwall being only a 10-15-minute drive from the A30. So a trip to Tate St Ives is only an hour away, the Eden Project about 25 minutes and it's only a 20-minute drive to Padstow and the North Coast beaches. You are well placed to explore the rest of Cornwall and discover those special hidden places that have drawn so many to our county over the years.

The tranquil setting of The Stable is the perfect stop to relax and chill out after a busy day. So whether your perfect holiday consists of participating in a range of activities, sightseeing or a relaxing break; then The Stable is the place for you!

The Stable and its sister barns The Hayloft and The Byre make up The Dairy Barns. They have been lovingly restored to provide luxury accommodation, full of character and charm. Though totally detached and independent from each other, they can be booked together to make the perfect venue for family get-togethers and celebrations.

This property offers a small group discount of 20% on full weekly bookings for parties of 2 throughout the year (excluding August) which means that bedroom 2 will be unavailable. Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at the Stables, Dunmere, Bodmin. It had everything we wanted for our first dog friendly holiday and was ideally situated centrally to visit Cornwall in all directions including the North Atlantic and the South Coast, the countryside and National Trust property. It was in a lovely very quiet setting up a country lane following the Camel Trail. An early morning walk with Rufus along the trail surrounded by the river, trees, bluebells and wild garlic made a perfect start to each day.

Mrs S,

This is the second time we have stayed at The Stable, it is well located on The Camel trail and very well equipped and clean. Cornish Horizons were very helpful in the booking process.
