A stylish, 5-star hideaway in the blissful countryside of Mid Wales, Llety Tanllan comes with awe-inspiring views, a stunning games room, and can be optionally split into two, self-catering homes. Breathtaking valley views

From its impressive and unique features to the beautifully quiet surroundings, this cottage is a home of true luxury. Set in an enclosed, gated area, miles of rugged hillsides, babbling brooks and open, country meadows sit at its doorstep.

Whether you’re dividing the accommodation in two or keeping the party together, this luxurious and spacious rural retreat can accommodate up to ten discerning guests. The stunning, bespoke, and hand-crafted kitchen is made from local Welsh oak, complemented by the beautiful slate worktops and ceramic sink. The countryside-inspired oak beams span the indulgent room, while the slate floors embody the rustic, rural location. Well-equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave, the kitchen opens onto the spacious living and dining areas, with a large table that looks out upon the breathtaking views of the valley and beyond.

A welcoming lounge with full, underfloor heating, feature wood burner stove, and wall-mounted TV is perfect for quality time together, whether you’re snuggling up with a family film, or playing board games around the table on breezy winter nights. The second open-plan living space is very similar in style to the first but is capable of hosting the full party of ten or for a cosy family of five. It also opens up into an adjoining sunroom, with far reaching views of the sunset.

The private garden gives access to the adjoining games room. A fantastic space for hosting the whole party, you’ll find a pool table, docking station for your favourite tunes, books and plenty of games. There’s an enclosed patio overlooking the expansive valley and Cambrian Mountain range, with comfortable garden furniture and barbeque for dining at sunset, and a children's play area for fun nights at home.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The home boasts five, high standard bedrooms for ten guests. Across the rooms, you’ll find three king-size beds, a twin, and bunk bed space with spectacular views across Mid Wales. There are two, underfloor-heated, family bathrooms, both with luxurious baths for long soaks, powerful overhead showers, and warming towel rails. The quirky king-size room reminds you of the building’s previous life as a hayloft, with its feature stone walls, original beams and high ceilings. It’s also the only room to come with a beautiful en-suite, with large shower and underfloor heating.

There are plenty of off-road parking spaces to the side of the barn. A starter pack for your wood burner is provided and additional logs can be purchased for £4 per bag. Baby items such as a high chair, two travel cots and stair gates are all available on request, but guests are asked to bring their own cot linen. There are small supermarkets nearby, and a weekly street market in Machynlleth. Home deliveries can be organised through Tesco and Asda.

Amazing house, you can tell that no expense has been spared here. Would highly recommend staying here.

Mr John L,

The house was lovely, very clean, everything you could want. The owners were lovely, always found time to stop and chat. Would definitely stay again, all our family loved

Mrs Monica C,

Beautiful cottage with stunning views. Plenty of space for 3 generations of family ranging from 2 to 60 years old! Very remote but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Lovely place, welcoming family and a stunning part of Wales with lots to explore.

Mrs Cara M,

Simply gorgeous place...much much better than we were expecting

J M,

Beautiful barn conversion, friendly owners, super place for a family get together.

Mrs K A,

Just fantastic all round. What a beautiful place, the owners were great. Everything about the accommodation was first class and the beds were so comfortable. Would recommend this lovely rural area to anyone that enjoys peace and quiet but can also explore surrounding area. The owners should be so proud. Easy to make contact with customer service and no issues at all. As already highlighted, accommodation was 5 star.

Elaine from D,

This is a stunning property. Everything about it was well considered. It was very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. We were a family of 9 adults who love to cook and all we needed was plenty of space to spread out. We all really loved it.

Jane from C,

Absolutely gorgeous property! The pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful location and setting, the lack of signal and Wi-Fi is a refreshing change to truly enjoy a weekend away.

Heather from W,

Amazing story to the build of the property which made the stay feel very personal. Fabulous!

Mr Fraser H,
