Description

There is something very special about Kalundu. Curated from its vast garden, sprawling living space and guest-focused touches it’ll render you smitten and struggling to leave. Shall we go in…?

Understated luxury

Sometimes it takes a recipe of elements to achieve perfection. Kalundu has many of them. Its unassuming frontage is part of the surprise that awaits. This single level home sleeps 8 guests and room after room offers space, calm and a slice of serenity. Families, friends, your pets all have room to roam here, unencumbered and without fear of tripping over one another.

The sitting room may draw you to repose or to savour an evening’s entertainment via the enormous wall-hung Smart TV. This rooms connects almost seamlessly, courtesy of generous internal doors, to the vast kitchen diner. A space so ample that an island breakfast and dining table for 8, if not 10, still leaves room for those inclined to practice their dance moves after dinner. The granite topped island just a hint at the luxury touches provided here, whether you’re a pastry chef grateful for the cool surface or an interiors buff with an eye for style.

All on one level, Kalundu spreads out its wing, quite literally. Across the other side of the house, you’ll find four en suite bedrooms. Out through the patio doors and you might need to squint to find the end of the garden. Who will wear out first? The dogs or the kids, or you if you get drawn in to chasing either. At just 600 yards from Constantine Bay, a Cornish beach holiday is yours for the taking. Equally, the South West Coast Path is pretty much on your doorstep, while golfers will be suitably challenged at the impeccable Trevose Golf and Country Club. Two dogs are welcome here and they’ll love the garden as much as you.

Only four of you can make it? Ask about our low occupancy discount for full week bookings.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Four en suite twin bedrooms are each beautifully decorated. Each a haven of its own. Two of the en suites have separate bath and shower.

Reviews

Very roomy and well located bungalow just a few minutes walk to Constantine Bay. The property has a large kitchen diner and living room, with very large garden for children and dogs. Just a few minutes walk to the Constantine Store.

Mr F,

Comfortable and spacious property in an ideal location for exploring coastal paths and beaches.

Mr W,

Kalundu is a lovely property to stay in. Only a short 15 minute walk to a lovely large dog friendly beach. The bungalow is a good size, we were a group of 7 adults and two dogs and there was always plenty of room in the communal areas. Dogs loved the large rear garden. Local pub was very friendly with nice food but not really in walking distance when dressed for a night out. Overall great property and would definitely stay here again.

Mr K,

The size of the property was excellent as there was 7 plus 2 children, the general relaxing area & kitchen dinner ample room, and the bed rooms were again ample size for all parties - including a portable cot in one room. My wife is wheelchair bound and again access through out was good

Mr W,

We have stayed in Kalundu 4 times over the years and have always had a fantastic time. We have also recommended it to other families we know and at least one of them stayed in the property in 2022. Looking forward to being back in 2024 and if we could have wall to wall sunshine as we did last week that would be perfect : )

Mrs G,

Visited Kalundu on many occasions

Mrs Chris F,

Very happy with the property - our first visit to Cornwall and we weren't disappointed. We're already intending to come back and stay at this exact property.

Mr Oliver M,

Perfect for us

Mrs Diana Q,

I was happy with the property. It was for a special birthday and worked well for the family. The cleaning staff were very helpful letting us leave the car there when we arrived early and they messaged us when they had finished

Location

If you're looking for a traditional family beach holiday, Constantine Bay is hard to beat. With a wide, sweeping stretch of golden sand, it is one of those places that families return to year after year (and often generation after generation). A versatile area, Constantine Bay has something that will appeal to almost everyone, whether you're looking for an active holiday including surfing and other water-sports, a social gathering at the Trevose Golf Club, or a family- and dog-friendly holiday where you can spend all day on the beach, or walk for miles along the winding cliff paths found along this stretch of coastline. The beach allows dogs all year round, meaning that you don't have to leave your best friend at home when you holiday here. And, of course, the kids will love exploring the tidal rock pools and wide expanse of sand that has long made this beach one of the best-loved along this stretch of the beautiful North Cornish coast. A popular holiday destination for those 'in the know', the Bay attracts many groups of families and friends who often holiday together, turning the area into a little community within a community in the busy summer months.
