Description

Steep the whole family into sublime Georgian splendour while the sea calls and seafood suppers beckon. Oozing with the freshest take on maritime style interiors and equipped to ease you quickly into holiday mode.

Georgian gem

Marine Villa is an interior design dream on the sea. Park your quaint visions of idyllic seaside fishing village cottages and ramp up your stately expectations. Putting a whole new, contemporary and exquisite spin on maritime interiors, Marine Villa blends top notes of the sea with muted blues and greys to create a seriously sophisticated home away from home in one of Cornwall’s most sought after seaside spots.

There’s a hint at its splendour from the grandeur of its exterior. Perfectly placed with its arched windows to celebrate its estuary views all day long. Step inside and imagine slate, seagrass and wood onto which that unique Cornish light bounces through classic arched windows. Calm, understated rooms pop with fabric accents, one-of-a-kind feature walls and on-trend lighting. Bold bathrooms gleam with vibrant patterns and shots of unexpected yet oh-so-clever use of colour. The marriage of texture, pattern and neutral space is beyond textbook.

A short wander from your front door, Padstow’s catch of the day beckons - what freshly netted delicacy shall be served at supper tonight? You’ll be sure to make use of the double ovens and huge American fridge-freezer in the expertly kitted out kitchen.

And when dining outcalls, perch your bums on the harbour wall and savour the freshest fish and chip supper. Or slip off for a proper supper of wining and dining. With Rick Stein’s original haunt and Paul Ainsworth on your doorstep, you’re spoilt for places to salivate over.

Nights in or lazy days at home are enjoyed to the backdrop of hi-tech and hi-spec comforts. From a choice of sitting rooms and TVs to laze around to the games consoles and Sky package, coffee machine and Sonos speakers, we’ll completely understand if you feel no need to leave should the weather not beg you outside to play.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are six equally gorgeous bedrooms to choose from, four of which offer the flexibility of being either super kings or twins. Starting on the ground floor there is a king-size room with en suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. You’ll find another en suite king size room on the first. Of the four other rooms, one is typically laid out as a twin and the others as super kings, but the flexibility is there for you to choose. One of the super kings has an en suite and the remaining three have use of a family bathroom with shower over bath and separate a shower room. A travel cot and baby crib are also available, along with other baby-friendly equipment - please just let us know what you need at the time of booking.

Mrs P,

July 2023. This was our second stay in Marine Villa and we all had a fabulous time. The house and location is just amazing !! Mrs G and family

Mrs G,

Nothing short of amazing! Everything you could possibly want and need. Attention to detail in design and decor is outstanding but not without that home luxury feel. Location meant restaurants and pubs were a no driver needed holiday. Thank you so much for making our break an unforgettable experience.

Miss L,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
