Description

A plush transformation of one of Padstow’s most important buildings. Settle in for a holiday of a lifetime surrounded by all the comforts you think you’ll need while you’re away, and more.

Plush Padstow

Steeped in history. Sumptuously decorated in honour of its grandiose past. Space for all to savour time away and the history of the place. This sensitively restored and exquisitely designed large luxury holiday home in Padstow opens the door on high spec living.

Grade II listed there are original features where you turn. Original wood panelling in the sitting room will fascinate. The vast fireplace has more than a few tales to tell and now there’s a wood burner to heat up an evening’s debate should temperatures drop outside. The regal red of the room is more than a subtle nod to the building’s historic high status. The warm blues of the lounge-diner bring a calm to breakfast planning and tease you to relax in its deep seat sofa later in the day. The kitchen lull any willing cook into a happy place with its top notch facilities and the wine fridge awaits your favourite tipple.

In the heart of Padstow, will you be swayed by a sniff of sea air or of delicious dishes served up at Rick Stein’s a few doors down? Home to one of the largest gardens in central Padstow, you may not want to leave at all but for a meander around the delis and local produce shops to source the very best and fresh-in from the shores fish for a heavenly supper, inside or out.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Five sumptuous bedrooms call you to the first and second floors and you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d arrived in a boutique B&B. Two super kings - both of which can be set as a twin on request at the time of booking - a king, one double and one twin promise a heavenly night’s sleep. The double room is quirkily accessed internally via very steep stairs, or externally from the garden terrace. The master suite includes a stunning en suite with gorgeous tiles, freestanding bath and separate shower plus his and hers basins. The family bathroom also has separate bath and shower.

Reviews

Thank you ever so much for the fantastic 2 weeks with our 3 generation family, and for the wonderful Christmas trees.

Mr S,

Exceptional location and incredibly well-appointed and decorated. A perfect holiday home for our large family.

Mr D,

A truly wonderful property, the best we have stayed in and we indeed to repeat our visit. The house is spacious, meticulously clean, with everything you could need including a wonderful secure garden for the dogs and just a stones throw from the harbour.

Miss M,

Location

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
