Description
Where there’s a view, there’s a window in this stunning holiday home overlooking Porthtowan beach. A spectacular hunker-down kind of home that breathes calm come heatwave or storm.
Ocean views
Enviable positioning ensures impeccable views of and your access to the coastline here in North Cornwall. Vast retracting doors bring the outside in. Upside down living maximises your enjoyment of the vista. Significantly spacious interiors deliver on their promise of serenity. A warm oak floor guides you through the open plan living space of the first floor. Snuggle up on the long sofa. Linger at the six bay patio door onto the terrace, because the view will hold you there longer than you realise. Countryside, coastline and ocean views abound and there’s a window at every opportunity bringing in rays of natural light. The kitchen has an air of country chic, the island connecting it to a contemporary dining area that in turn blends into the sitting area towards the balcony.
The views cast your eyes from St Agnes to St Ives. With the South West Coast Path on your doorstep, explore much of this area of coastline heading north towards St Agnes or south to Portreath. More inclined to explore on two wheels? The coast to coast cycle trail is a fabulous way to discover Cornwall’s coastal mining heritage. And then there are the beaches. Long, sandy beaches renowned for their surf. And at the end of an exhausting day, whether you pitch up at the Blue Bar on Porthtowan beach or head back to the house for supper, the heaven of a stunning home away from home awaits.
Travelling with family or bringing friends, the space works for socialising as much for seeking out the solace of privacy at the end of the day. It’s pet-friendly too for those with one four-legged friend in tow. And the bedrooms are divine…
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The master bedroom is the piece de resistance. A fabulous circular window reaches almost floor to ceiling and someone sensibly placed a chaise longue there for you to enjoy it even more. A super king bed is perfectly placed to catch sunrise or sunset across a sparkling Atlantic Ocean and the roll top bath in the ensuite is the icing on the cake. Three further bedrooms on the ground offer equally sumptuous sleeping arrangements.
