From top to toe, this four storey family home presents home comforts, luxury touches and fabulous views. Relax in stylish interiors, sleep in sinfully comfortable beds, stop and gaze awhile, the views won’t let you go.
Set over four floors, there are fabulous views from almost every room in this spacious family home. The beach calls, the village is within reaching distance, but let the view hold you a while. It’s not going anywhere, other than changing with the wind, but it’ll glue you to the spot every now and then.
Mostly offering upside-down living, the living area is on the first floor. Here, a sumptuous open plan space incorporates an ample kitchen, dining area and lovely sitting room. If you can tear yourselves away from the view, there’s a 65” wall-mounted TV for any sporting spectacles or blockbuster movies you fancy and an Alexa with Amazon music. The floor to ceiling windows open onto a balcony to get you that little bit closer to that vista, to admire a sunset or just to sniff the sea air. Also on this level you have access to a rear patio with hot tub, barbecue and outdoor shower, the latter perfect for rinsing off post-surf or post-beach dog walk.
Wander up to the top floor and you’ll find a wee snug, should you need some end-of-day downtime or a few minutes to make a work call. It’s also perfectly cosy for curling up with a good book on those days that the rain swings in, if you can persuade the others to get off the Xbox.
Perched on the hillside, you’ll look down across Westward Ho! Beach while being surrounded by lush woodland. From here, you’ll be able to assess the waves before picking your position along 2 miles of sandy surfing beach. If you daren’t make it that far, a wander down the hill will lure you elsewhere into independent boutiques, coffee shop and the town’s many eateries. Stay active without the intensity of adrenalin with a round of golf at Royal North Devon or explore the UK’s first UNESCO Biosphere at Northam Burrows Country Park.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Four bedrooms are spread across three of the four floors. On the ground floor is a king and a twin room, the latter can be converted to a super king upon request. There’s a shower room here as well as a utility complete with all you need to make that first cuppa of the day. On the second floor a super king with zip-link bed has an en suite shower room; the family bathroom is here too. Up on the fourth floor you’ll find a twin room that can be a super king if you need it.
Please note: on your arrival day the hot tub may take time to get back to operating temperature due to the draining down and refilling process.
I booked this beautiful accommodation, with stunning views, as a birthday getaway for my best friend’s 40th birthday. There were 6 of us altogether, and we all thoroughly enjoy every minute in this house. The bubbles on ice and cream tea on arrival was an amazing surprise. Also, milk in the fridges along with plenty of teas, coffees, fruit teas and hot chocolate. The owners of the property have thought of everything to make our stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. The ‘creme de la creme’ was the large undercover hot tub in the back garden with beautiful lights, we used it everyday. Everything was spotlessly clean and well thought out. Beautiful views and coastal walks, with Tesco express close by in case you need anything. Thank you so much, we would love to return in the future. Highly recommend for a large family get away, or with friends as I did.
Just spent the week here with my family and 2 dogs and safe to say what an incredible stay we had. We were greeted by a big bowl of fresh scones with clotted cream and jam, a personalised welcome postcard, doggy treats and many other wonderful amenities! Absolute 5 stars and thoroughly recommended to anyone
This house is perfect ,everything is thought of , it’s great Cobra Dave is on hand if you need him , will definitely be back and recommend it to others

We recently stayed at oceanscape property, we had a fantastic family holiday. We have previously stayed in this house 3 years ago when it was under previous ownership, It was so much better this time than we could have expected we was greeted by the owner Dave who gave us lots of information about local events and places to visit, also the welcome package was very much appreciated just what we needed after our long drive. The outdoor space was also a massive improvement it was so nice to have a nice area to sit and have a bbq and relax in the hot tub. Amazing house, lovely outdoor space. We can't wait to return...
There has been much thought for the little extras to this cottage which is finished to a very high standard It is truly a luxurious house suitable for families and your dogs are also catered for -from the welcome gifts on arrival and plenty of information on what to do in the local area it made for a perfect relaxing break in the beautiful north Devon
Wonderful home with some very special touches, lots of space to enjoy with all the family and the dogs are catered for too. Prime location to explore the North Devon coast and yet only an hours drive from Padstow, would recommend highly.
An excellent location for our family and dogs with easy access to the large beach. A very high spec accommodation. Marsdens Staff and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
Oceanscape, Westward Ho, is a fantastic property with breathtaking views and it is packed with every conceivable gadget and aid to allow even the most demanding amongst us to relax and have a great holiday. This house, and its location and views, met all of our requirements and then some. Marsdens attention to details, website and applicability are superb. We would highly recommend them if you are looking for a holiday property in this area.
