Description
This sprawling four bedroom holiday home atop the rolling hillocks of North Devon delivers on space inside and out, then sprinkles with enviable vistas and luxurious touches for the ultimate all-family holiday home.
Family paradise
Lush. Tranquil. Yours. You could be forgiven for thinking you’re in the Lake District. The lush rolling countryside, the sweeping landscape and the sea in the distance allude to another destination altogether, but welcome to rural North Devon and the paradise that is Hazelmere. This four bedroom detached holiday home goes over easy on the space and ensures optimum views of your picturesque setting wherever possible.
The sitting room with its squidgy sofas ensure a relaxing abode for everyone in your party and the additional sofas in the stunning dining area means no-one style will be cramped during your stay. The dining looks out and down through the valley towards Woolacombe Bay, teasing you with tomorrow’s activities or reminders of today’s success in the surf. French doors from both rooms lead you to a wonderful balcony - just choose your chair or lounger and soak up the scenery.
The garden sweeps around the property and slopes down with the hillside. Mostly set to lawn the two welcome dogs love this space to stretch their legs before hitting the beach or extensive hill walks nearby. The driveway is steep but presents space for four cars and what was once a garage now provides secure storage for surfboards and bikes. The surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde are all nearby as is the typically Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Four bedrooms fill out the first and second floors of this roomy house. The master bedroom rewards you with a king size bed, private and spacious balcony and a spectacular en suite including a luxurious double-ended bath, and a double shower. The other bedrooms provide a double, and a single with trundle bed, and you’ll find a twin bedroom on the second floor. The family bathroom also offers both shower and bath. A ground floor shower room is provided for rinsing off the surf or the sand before relaxing after that adrenalin fuelled day.
