Peninsula perfection

Up high on Abersoch’s Pen Benar headland above Abersoch harbour is Gilfach Goed. With its enviable coastal views, private path to the beach at low tide and spacious glass balcony, you’ll be drawn to the outdoors, whatever the weather. Making the most of its advantageous position, this is an upside down house where the living space is on the top floor. From the moment you wake in the morning and reach for the coffee you’ll be enamoured by the view that changes with the tide.

The house accommodates 12 guests and the kitchen diner is ideal for gathering around the breakfast table, spilling out onto the balcony just to check ‘your beach’ is still there. The almost wraparound seascape is apparent from the sitting room too whether you’re savouring them from the squishy corner sofa as the sun sets on a day’s fun on the seashore or wandering through the patio doors for a pre-dinner tipple on the balcony.

If all has gone surprisingly quiet, head to the lower ground floor and check the games room where you might find kids of all ages consumed by the table tennis and pool tables or lost in something on the TV. It’s on this floor that you’ll also find your beach life is so well catered for. There is a fabulous supply of buckets and spades, life jackets, windbreakers and sand mats, and wetsuits in various sizes. Pets welcome by arrangement.

** 2022 - Building work being undertaken on the plot next door till end of March 2023 weekend bookings advised during this time

Bedrooms and bathrooms

On the ground floor, in the middle of the house, you’ll find five of the six bedrooms. The master bedroom with its king size bed, epic views and en suite shower room is a haven at the end of a busy day with the kids. The other en suite bedroom is a twin with countryside views. Sharing a family bathroom and a family shower room are another twin bedroom, a double and a bunk room. The six bedroom, another twin, is on the lower ground floor with use of another shower room.

Special Note

As a security measure, Gilfach Goed has a CCTV camera overlooking the top of the driveway, which is only activated when the gate is opened. Please contact us if you have any queries.

Reviews

Fantastic location and beautiful property with everything we needed for a lovely big family holiday . Amazing time had by all will definitely be back .

Mrs C,

Breathtaking views and amazing access to the beach meant Gilfach Goed was the perfect holiday house . Comfortable and with absolutely everything you could require . We visited with five grandchildren and it was perfect . Many thanks

Mrs H,

The house and its location were perfect, walking distance to everything in the area, very clean and well equipped. There was plenty of room for 12 adults and room for 5 cars at a push. All 12 of us had a fantastic weekend and the property made it that much better.

Mr W,

Shocking holiday.

Mr Martyn W,

A recently modernised house in a stunning location. Very well equipped for families although the dining table is a little small if the weather precludes eating outside. We had a wonderful Christmas in Gilfach Goed and were sad to leave.

Mr S,

We cannot fault our stay so its 10/10. The property has a homely feel, with 3 small children we loved the easy beach access. We asked for the heating to be reduced + one shower drain blocked, both were dealt with promptly. Would happily recommend. And if you always guarantee wall-to-wall sunshine as we had, we'll be back! Many thanks
