Description
Imagine a secluded, private paradise with unencumbered coastal views and a home felicitously called horizon. Let the race to the best seat in the house begin.
Horizon heaven
Gorwel, meaning horizon, takes you almost there from its close-to-the-coast position and far reaching views; it’s hard not to be enamoured by the place. From the wonderful wisteria adorning the frontage of this single storey cottage to the beautifully landscaped enclosed gardens and the plush hot tub that awaits, sit back, relax and enjoy the views. You reach Gorwel via a no-through road in pretty Abererch. Once there, its 2 acres of grounds are yours to explore and savour for the duration of your stay. Games of hide and seek could go on for some time here and you’ll be distracted by the views across the Llyn Peninsula at every turn. The garden has a superb raised deck area into which a large hot tub has been sunk with an outlook across the horizon. There are few greater spots for snapping the sunset. The adjacent summer house doubles up as a games room and TV room. The gas barbecue is here too, so let your evenings while away with the daylight.
Inside this sprawling home you’ll stop still at the picture window with its view and comfy chairs calling to you stop a while. The spacious room caters for all with its flat screen TV and log burner for cooler evenings although the window seat with its views across Cardigan Bay might cause a queue to form. The kitchen diner is a warm and welcoming space where a team could drum up a hearty cooked breakfast, or you might enjoy that first coffee of the day in the serenity of the space before anyone else stirs. For feeding the whole tribe or to celebrate in style make use of the formal dining area and enjoy an evening of fine wine and games.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
There are four fabulously large bedrooms at Gorwel. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. There is then a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, plus a gorgeous family bathroom with Victorian style suite including standalone roll top bath and walk in shower.
