Description

This spacious, luxury self-catering cottage can be booked as two separate accommodations or a single, and invites you to relax in the sauna then cosy up by the wood burners and open fire after a day of trekking or mountain biking through the untouched grandeur of the Llyn peninsula.

Step back in time

Sprawled on a hillside with the Rhiw Mountain rising beyond the surrounding fields, Ty’r Mynach has near-endless views and huge, starry skies at night. A choice of two fully-equipped kitchens, comfortable seating, a panoramic view from the conservatory, and wood burners further reinforce that sense of isolation and tranquillity. Throw in the vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and stone walls, and you might feel like you’ve stepped back in time. All of that, and yet Ty’r Mynach is within walking distance of village pubs and other amenities.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

On the lower ground floor of the Gadlas wing is a super-king room with level entry, making it suitable for wheelchair users. This room has an en-suite wet room and the bed can be converted into two twin beds. A few steps up from the kitchen on the ground floor is the next super-king room that can also be converted into a twin room. Next is a family room with a king-size bed and bunk bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a steam-shower cubicle.

There is a second en-suite family bedroom on the first floor of this wing. The room has a king-size bed and an additional two single beds. It also boasts a wonderful, freestanding, aluminium boat style bath. Then there is another king-size en-suite room with panoramic views of the peninsula.

The perpendicular wing, known as Deri Llyn, begins with a magnificent, four-poster super-king room, open to its own conservatory area and with a spa bath in the corner of the room. After this master suite is a family bedroom with a king-size room and a full-size bunk bed. This family bedroom shares a bathroom with a super-king room that can be converted into a twin room. Completing the Deri Llyn is a second en-suite super-king room, convertible to a twin room.

Practicalities

There is plenty of space for parking. Depending on size, we welcome up to four or five pets. Additional fee per dog: £60. We can provide high chairs and cots, but ask that you please request these on booking and that you bring your own cot bedding.

Special Note: If you require any one of the super-king beds to be converted to twin beds, we ask that you please confirm this request upon booking.
