Description

Stand at the peak of mighty Snowdon and gaze out over Moel Siabod, a mountain swathed in mystery and legend. This is where Beudy’r Wennol, a fabulous holiday cottage, is waiting to welcome you for adventure and intrigue in the Welsh mountains.

For the adventurous

There are adventures around every corner in this part of the world. Mountains loom overhead while valleys sweep into the distance. And this gem of a retreat is your oasis of calm amongst it all, a place to recharge your batteries before heading out on your next quest.

The vaulted ceilings and exposed beams tell you this is a place with history – there are many stories to be told here. You’ll enjoy recounting your day’s discoveries on the plush leather sofas in front of the gorgeous wood burner. Your aching muscles will thank you, as will your ravenous companions as you serve delicious homecooked food on the comfortable dining table. The kitchen is well-stocked and there’s plenty of space for a hearty roast or a cooked breakfast to fuel your journey out into the wilds.

The portrait window and French doors are the perfect places to sit and admire the expansive view, that never seems to be the same from one gaze to the next. Trace the contours of mountains or simply greet the grazing sheep in the surrounding countryside, who’ll bring a smile to your face when they manage to sneak up on you.

Outside, there is a hot tub for indulgent soaks and furniture for al fresco dining in front of the mountains. Inside, the calming bedrooms are painted in soft whites and finished with natural timber, beckoning you to sleep after days well spent. What’s in store for tomorrow? A visit to Zip World or Adventure Parc, or a leisurely stroll in Betws y Coed? This is the place to enjoy North Wales at its very best.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There is space for six in this oasis of calm, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and en-suite shower rooms, while the third bedroom has twin single beds and an en-suite shower room.

Reviews

Just perfect, location stunning, accommodation fabulous, loved the added touches such as the welcome basket, the pool table and the hot tub overlooking the mountains was the icing on the cake. Fantastic hosts, cannot recommend it highly enough, hope to return soon!

Mrs W,

Fabulous barn conversion ! Exceptionally clean and well furnished. Menna is a great host too. Ideally located for the beach, 30 mins drive and zip world .

Ms C,

Amazing hosts, amazing accommodation, couldn't ask for anything more. The views, hot tub, BBQ etc. were the best we have had holidaying in the UK and the family just wonderful. As nurses we are very aware of cleanliness standards etc. and everything surpassed our expectations. We even got to meet the new lambs and calves! We have already recommended to family and friends but not before booking again for 2022 as we couldn't get anything for 2021, assuming previous stayers have already booked. Can't wait to go back and will be keeping eyes open for any cancellations. Buy the local eggs two farms down, we enjoyed them so much from the welcome pack we bought more to bring home.

Mrs M,

A beautiful barn with fantastic views. Spacious, with good family and wheelchair friendly layout. It’s fantastic to sit in the hot tub overlooking Snowdonia and the surrounding countryside. Welcoming hosts.

Mrs S,

Great property, well equipped and comfortable. Friendly hosts and a truly amazing view!!! Fabulous.

Mrs H,

Beautiful! one word to describe this place. It was just what we needed to relax and spend time with friends. We are all nurses and needed some relaxation and we certainly got that here. The place is stunning and Menna the owner has thought of everything. The owners were polite, friendly and helpful. The locals were great in the local pub particularly as there was a Rugby match, Wales Vs England! The sheep visiting were lovely and the views spectacular! We will be hurrying back as soon as possible.
