Breathe in deeply and relax. On the sumptuous sofas, on your chaise longue, in the deep, deep bath, on your garden lounger or in the deliciously warm pool. And then relax all over again.

Devon delight

Relaxation comes into its own when you arrive at Moorvista where everything lends itself to a holiday where you can all kick back and chill. From the generous living spaces inside, flooded with that lovely Devon light, to the garden complete with outdoor pool, this holiday home is all about switching right off from the daily grind.

Something of a grand design, the house enjoys an elevated position – far stretching views of glorious Devon landscapes are yours to contemplate from several key spots inside. From the oh so comfy sofa off the dining room, for example. Or from the chaise longue in your master suite. Or, better still, from the decked corner of the garden (after you’ve enjoyed a dip in the heated pool, of course).

The interior design has tons to say. The lounge comes in muted neutrals with striking splashes from almost the entire palette of blues. Supremely elegant pendant lighting adds to the lofty height of the kitchen diner where you get to sit on the loveliest of turquoise chairs. Making a statement too is the fuchsia backsplash vying for your attention among the integrated Bosch appliances.

You also come to Devon to be outside and Moorvista delivers here too. Take your pick of spots on the decking, in the summer house or in that pool. And all with far reaching views. And for some more active entertainment, the games room, complete with pool table, table tennis and TV corner with more uber plush sofas.

Wander beyond and the delightful village of Modbury is literally on your doorstep. From your views you already know why it’s in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Other attractions include pubs serving delicious Devonshire fare. Time your visit for May and join the May Fair celebrations. And if you want salt water instead of your warm pool, head for one of the nearby beaches, just a stone’s throw away.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Moorvista sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, all on the first floor. Two bedrooms come with en suites (bath and shower in the master) and there’s also a family bathroom. A wet room off the games room completes the accommodation.

Please be aware the swimming pool is only available in the months of May - September, the pool is cleaned every Friday, please do not be alarmed if you see the Pool Maintenance Man during your stay. Please be aware the property only allows a maximum of 8 people, this includes infants in travel cots. Please do not leave children unattended by the pool in the garden.

Fantastic it had everything you could need , very luxurious, great location, very friendly village.

Mrs Linda M,

What a beautiful base for a family holiday. The house boasts such wonderful facilities that on some days we didn't want to venture out and instead enjoyed swimming, BBQ's and of course the games room. Modbury is a lovely village offering gorgeous cake shops, a fabulous butchers and an array of other delightful shops. The traditional play park on back street was an enjoyable find and all the locals are very friendly. Our days out to Bigbury and Salcombe were enjoyed by all. The glorious sandy beaches, the delicious ice-creams and the fish and chips all being highlights. Many thanks from eight very content but tired holidaymakers.

The M,
