Description

Relax in peace and luxury in the midst of contemporary design offering room for absolutely everyone (and then some). All you have to do is decide which of the South Devon delights you’ll enjoy today.

Devon delight

Space comes into its own in this stunning modern holiday home with enviable interiors and a sought-after location. Everywhere you look, spacious accommodation stretches before you with room with all 8 of you (plus 3 dogs). Showcasing interior design with a distinctly coastal vibe, this is somewhere to kick back, relax and enjoy and with plenty of room to spare.

Step inside and the large picture window perfectly frames the mature gardens outside and the golf course beyond. Glide into the large open plan living space where a plush corner settee beckons invitingly. Soft greys form the perfect backdrop for a palette of ocean blues – think turquoise here, azure there and then a smattering of sapphire.

Flow through into the giant kitchen-dining area where cooking can only be a pleasure in the uber-modern space, fully-equipped with all the appliances. Or watch them get on with it from the handy breakfast bar where you’ll perch on magenta stools, from the jade or white Eames-style dining chairs or from another plush settee, this one with frontline views of the greens.

The four bedrooms also take luxury living to another level. There’s more of that space and king-size beds await along with sparkling ensuites. Be the ones with the mostest in the upper family master where extras include your own private glass-enclosed terrace with the river glinting on the horizon.

Outside, mature gardens are yours to enjoy and just down the drive, the delights of the fishing village of Shaldon. Dine on haute cuisine at the Michelin-starred Ode Restaurant or feast on local crab and fish and chips at the many pubs. Take a dip in the river, glide a canoe downstream or get the ferry to Teignmouth. You choose.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Ness Dene House sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, 3 all with king size beds. Two are downstairs with an en suite shower room and family bathroom while two more are upstairs, both with en suite bathrooms.

Reviews

Great property, comfortably sleeps 8, very dog friendly. Shaldon is a lovely location with walks, pubs and cafe’s plus a great butcher, no need to cross the river to Teignmouth much better is the strenuous walk along the coastal path to the Thatched Tavern.

Mr W,

Wonderful property, clean, well equipped and with plenty of space. Excellent location for walks, or get out and about by car.

Mr R,

The property was amazing. The welcome gifts were lovely. It was exactly what we were looking for in Shaldon. We would suggest that the information on your website about the property is updated - the photo's do not truly reflect the outside space; the garden is very steep and the trees/bushes around the property are much more overgrown. The road to the property doesn't clearly advise that the house is at the top, and is also really overgrown and brushes up the cars as you go up and down. The parking is also really only for 2 large cars or 3 small. We had two people who had mobility issues and the walk up to the property (when not driving up the private road) was a problem due to how steep it is. So it's only suitable for people with mobility issues if driving up to the property every time. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The only reason we wouldn't stay at this property again (with the same group) was due to overall accessibility.

Mrs Laura B,

Every single moment has been lovely here! Can't wait to come back again soon. Just the most beautiful house in the most picturesque setting. Our kids loved it, we loved it and our new puppy, Gerald, was in his element! Thanks so much Sally. We will recommend this place to everyone!

Lynny & A

What a beautiful house, very stylish + comfortable, love the decor. Perfect for two families. Such a lovely part of the world, can we come back??!! Thank you very much indeed, just lovely! xxx

Thoroughly fab No 1! Friends, drink, dance, chillin, seaside + food, what more could we want? :)

BBQing on the terrace + sunbathing. Loathe the steep hill climb, but I'll get over it. Shaldon is beautiful! Very HYGGE - read the book - loved it! Now also want a 'SHE' shed - read that book also! Thank you for a beautiful home!
