Reviews

Loved the quirky style of the property. Keeping in touch with the history of the cottage yet very modern kitchen and bathrooms. Would highly recommend, although advise small car to manage tiny roads.

Miss O,

Wonderful cottage, second time in 4 months and thoroughly enjoyed both visits with both large and smaller group. I have a lot of visitors coming and the kitchen is wonderful to use. Very grateful ! The team are superb ! Thank you

Ms Janet D,

Location

Newlyn is a bustling fishing village nestled in between Mousehole and Penzance in western Cornwall. The village has its roots in pilchard fishing, with its historic harbour dating all the way back to 1435. Still a busy port today with an array of different kinds of fishing vessels, the fish market on the quayside is well worth a visit and there are lots of outlets selling fish and seafood. The Newlyn Fish Festival is held every August on the bank holiday with plenty of seafood to sample, cookery demonstrations and music.

Newlyn was also home to a school of painters who were drawn to the Cornish town by the light and the beauty of the scenery. Why not visit the Newlyn Art Gallery on Newlyn Green near the sea front?

Newlyn has a small selection of shops, galleries, pubs and cafes. Ben Tunnicliffe's the Tolcarne, an 18th century inn, is a prime example of Cornish cuisine. and a Michelin Bib Gourmand award holder since 2013.

The fantastic beaches of Perranuthnoe, Lamorna Cove, Kenneggy Sands and Praa Sands are all located nearby.
