This has been the ideal location for a family reunion – midway between Dundee in Scotland and North London. It has been a joy to be all together again and to get to know our 9 month old grandson. The cottage was perfect for our needs with room for everyone to do what they wanted. We spent lots of time walking but also made visits to Pocklington, York and Wharran Percy in between the showers. Thank You.

Past Customer,

Three generations of our family have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cottage. It was a break we all needed and to meet up here was ideal. The cottage is one of the best we have every stayed in it is so beautiful and relaxing. The children have loved the secret garden and the tyre swings. The adults have enjoyed the Wolds Inn and relaxing together back at the cottage. We enjoyed looking through the scrapbook showing the cottage development and all the hard work that went into the project. We have not wanted for anything here and were grateful for the generous hospitality pack left for us. This has been a wonderful holiday. We hope to return one day and will recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you

Past Customer,

The perfect place for a much needed rest and relaxation. A real home home away from home. We loved being able to get out and explore the Wolds that are just on the doorstep. We will definately be back. Thanks so much

Previous Customer,

We stayed at this beautiful cottage with family and friends over the New Year period. The cottage was homely and inviting. The host was very helpful leaving us a 'welcome' pack including a fresh cake which went down well with a cup of Yorkshire Tea. Our dogs loved it here with the amazing walks surrounding the property. The information pack was helpful which included local takeaways. We would like to thanks you for our lovely stay at Rose Cottage and we will highly recommend to our friends and family. Many thanks

Previous Customer,

We've had a lovely holiday here at Rose Cottage. It's a lovely house and feels very homely. We spent a day at the Air museum in Elvington which was very interesting, a day at the beach in Hornsea then up to Bridlington for fish & chips and a day in York finishing with the ghost bus tour! We also loved the local walks (as did the dogs!) and the peacefulness of the area was perfect. We feel well rested after our week here and we will definitely recommend it to friends & family. We particularly liked the scrapbook showing the previous restorations and the little touches that made it feel like home - the books to read, DVD's to watch, puzzle books and leaflets about the local area and all of the seating around - we had a room each to relax in! The two TV's also quite handy! Thank you Angela, John (and your son) for a wonderful holiday and a beautiful cottage.

The Walters family,

We've had 4 days here and loved every minute. Each morning I've gone exploring a different compass point and discovered hares, barn owls, rabbits, deer, butterflies uncountable and the ubiquitous sheep. It's been a base from which to attack York, the Driffield Show and Robin Hood's Bay. And, should you feel like treating yourselves then the Fish Cafe in Scarborough was a wonderful surprise. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We'd love to come back!

Leeming Family,

We have really enjoyed staying in Rose Cottage. It has been 'home from home' and suited our needs perfectly. When our mid 20s children joined us for a few days it worked just right so everyone had plenty of space. We enjoyed a somewhat 'chilly' BBQ to celebrate and the weather did warm up by the end of the week. Managed to fit in lots of walks with Pepper (who is very tired now!) as well as a visit to York, Malton, Driffield, Flamborough (to see puffins), Beverley and Hull - it does have some hidden gems and great museums devastated by the war and failing shipping / fishing industries - desperately trying to reinvent itself. Overall a great week, wonderfully presented and equipped house, great location. Beds are the most comfy we've stayed in and all facilities top notch. Thanks again for sharing your cottage and for also 'babysitting' Pepper! Hope to return again!

Bloomfield Family,

An idyllic cottage, to which we all aspire, nestled into the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds. This really is a fantastic retreat for families and friends alike. You really are spoilt for choice in how to occupy yourselves, be it with public footpaths threading through the rolling hills that surround the village, or the more historic minster of nearby Beverly and wonder of local market towns Pocklington and Driffield, or simply to sit back and relax in the well manicured gardens of the cottage itself to enjoy the sunset and the surrounding vista off towards the East Yorkshire coastline. The local Pub is also very accommodating for those who wish to step back in time and enjoy a pint with the locals and ramblers that frequent it. Overall this is a well equipped, clean and spacious cottage which welcomed us for the weekend and saw to our every need. I envied the next visitors a great deal, as I struggled to lock up and leave this perfect setting to my idea of ‘the Good Life’.
