Description
Slow. Calm. Be charmed by this traditional English cottage with its accents of country decor. Let your eyes drift across the stunningly serene Esk Valley as its woods, hills and river roll out around you.
Sweet serenity
A perfect combination of traditional English country living, enhanced with excellent quality furnishings, appliances and oh, that extraordinary scenery! Drink in the unmatched views of the Esk Valley’s woods, hills and river. You’ll find yourself dreaming about times gone by in this ancient landscape.
You’ll be welcomed with genuine warmth to enjoy your rest here, to make it your home for your stay. Be at ease with living in luxury. Enjoy the peace with your family. Let the children roam the gardens while you enjoy a cup of Yorkshire tea (or a glass of something chilled) on the gorgeous flagstone patio. You can also bring dogs to this pet-friendly cottage on the Yorkshire coast - one large or two well-behaved ones are welcome to join you.
Going through the entrance, which is shared with The Barn, you’ll feel instantly at home. Underfloor heating and a woodburner make it cosy and comforting. You’ll feel right at home in the well equipped kitchen and cosy sitting room, all immaculately appointed and laid out.
Why not try a spot of clay pigeon shooting and fishing? Both will be gladly arranged by your host. The fabulous and bustling seaside town of Whitby is just a few miles down the road. Indulge in one of Britain’s finest treats - freshly caught and cooked fish and chips on the beach. Take a ride on a steam train. Go on - climb 199 steps to Whitby’s ruined Abbey. If you’ve exhausted Whitby’s delights, the wonderfully varied North Yorks Moors, and the cliffs and coves of the North Yorks Cleveland Coast aren’t far away.
Expand your holiday with friends by booking along with The Barn and The Byre, which all together sleep 12.
