You’ll feel the tingle of history in this special place, imagining the fisher families who lived here many years ago. But this ancient cottage has been reimagined into a luxury present day experience, allowing you to sit easily with its past.
Assured chic
You’ll ascend the steep road and climb twelve steps to the front door, and arrive puffed and grateful to find this rather special place.
Light spreads through large windows, and shoots in through glass sealed light shafts cleverly illuminating these mixed spaces. More chic than shabby.
You’ll notice a stunning reclaimed wood staircase, with its rope bannister, as a nod to the seagoing past of its original inhabitants.
The muted, traditional tones of the paintwork in the interiors-led kitchen are reminiscent of the past, but the kitchen is extremely well-equipped. Draw up a chair to the antique oak dining table and settle in with a cup of traditional Yorkshire tea. Later you might be keen to fire up the pizza oven! You’ll admire the gorgeous styling of this bespoke kitchen right down to the Sonos speaker system and cosy underfloor heating - no detail has been skimped on here.
Upstairs, the bright and light sitting room, is a place to socialise and relax. Push across the floor to ceiling sliding door to the patio and let that sea air in! The sound system, smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player will no doubt come in use later.
You’ll venture on to the patio for a breathtaking view of the sea. Linger a moment and feel your heart rate slow down. When it’s time to take the air, set off on an invigorating walk over the cliffs or along the sandy beach.
Your dog is particularly well catered for with a hot and cold running dog shower to wash off the sand. Please note that the garden is not fully enclosed.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The vintage modern style continues into the gentle bedrooms, where light shafts are equipped with remote controlled intelligent glass for night time. Feather pillows and duvets provide a sinful sumptuousness. When a soak in the roll top bath calls, sink in and pour the bubbles (of both varieties).
