It’s you, the bubbles in your hot tub (and your glass), and those hallmark made in the Yorkshire Dales views. Yours to savour as you kick back and relax at possibly the most luxurious cottage. Anywhere.
You’d never guess that those gorgeous, traditional Yorkshire stone walls are home to so much designer luxury and comfort. But yes, this 300-year old cottage really does have it all. For those who like a touch of the old, the beams throughout, original fireplace, the deep, deep window seats... For those who like things modern, the Kessler kitchen, designer furniture pieces, smart-phone-controlled underfloor heating, Bose sound system…
And for everyone, absolute comfort at every turn. Start with your traditional stone patio with glorious views of Wensleydale and your hot tub. Make this your daily port of call for the utmost relaxation. Or while you wait your turn, relax on one of the sun loungers. And always with a little something chilled to perfection in the double (yes, really) wine cooler.
Move into the living room while stylish greys and browns come together in a harmony of relaxation. That impossible to resist Design Quarter corner sofa – massive doesn’t come near – with a cosy wood stove for extra comfort should you need it. Turn on your soundtrack or get one of your more talented guests to take a turn on the piano.
Then to the kitchen, uber-smart in quartz and stone with moss green providing just the right touch of contrast. You’ll find all the appliances you’d ever need including two NEFF ovens and, of course, a Lazzeza coffee machine because this Nook does things properly.
Venture outside into Aysgarth for traditional Yorkshire brews at Hamilton’s Tearooms and the local pub before you explore the iconic Yorkshire Dales National Park. A hikers’ paradise awaits you with some great days walking on the doorstep. And just before you return, click the app on your phone to ensure your Nook is as warm as toast when you arrive home.

Amazing, plenty of space, perfect for a large family getaway
A fabulous stay for New Year, beautiful location and stunning house with everything you need in a cottage. Near enough to small towns but feels like you are in the middle of the country. Accommodation is fantastic , thank you !
Fantastic property, well equipped and fantastic location
What a beautiful place! A view to die for. Thank you and Yorkshire for all the amazing views to paint.
Had a lovely, cosy, classy feeling once we walked through the door. Perfect for all needs. We had a great time. Thanks.
It was so comfortable here. It is a very good holiday home, highly recommended. We went on lots of bike rides, the back roads are great for the kids.
A fantastic house for a family get away. The beds were comfy, we enjoyed the hot tub and the showers.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks exploring this part of the country. Lots of very thoughtful touch in the house made our stay very comfortable. The weather has been perfect so lots of outdoor walks and adventures. The kids loved collecting milk from the local vending machine (worth trying it's delicious). Our entire family had a beautiful meal at The Wensleydale Heifer- we would highly recommend. We also completed the 3 Peaks Challenge and hired bikes from Dales Cycles. Lots of brilliant memories made. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us, it is so comfortable and inviting (we felt right at home). It is a great location for exploring, beautiful walks on your doorstep. You have thought of everything that people need for a wonderful holiday.
Thank you for a wonderful family stay. The house is absolutely beautiful and enabled our family of 10 to stay and have quality time together without having to be cramped for space. We give you 11 out of 10 for a perfect stay. Amazing.
Thanks you so much for creating the most beautiful house. We are privileged to have been given the chance to stay. Perfect!
This house is great. Very well equipped. We had poor weatehr all week but got to The Aysgarth Falls which is a must. Leyburn, Hawes and Muker are all so close and well worth a visit. The Green Dragon were friendly and welcoming and the food was good. Lovely week despite the rain. We also had some catering from The Corn Mill Tea Room in Bainbridge which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Tea room next door to property is great for breakfast.
A beautifully decorated cottage in a stunning location.
Lovely stay at Aysgarth Nook. Plenty of beautiful walks and things to do and see. House is very well equipped and the hot tub is a treat.
I love a modern home and the level of furnishings. Great mattress, good shower. Clearly a lot of thought and care has gone in to it, right down to the small details.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is fantastically equipped with everything you need and more and it made for a perfect getaway from city life. Can't wait to come back again soon.
We stayed at Aysgarth Nook at the beginning of February and arrived on a snowy evening to find the cottage delightfully cosy and welcoming. The photographs on the website certainly don't do it justice, as every detail has been carefully considered from high-tech heating and entertainment, to the latest, top spec kitchen appliances and, my favourite bit, the professional quality pans and kitchen knives. Each room has thoughtful finishing touches, such as hand-finished cushions and unusual feature lighting. Underfloor heating and ceramic floor tiles throughout the ground floor made it very dog-friendly and easy to keep clean, whilst still being warm and cosy. The thought that has gone into developing this cottage into a luxurious holiday home, whilst still retaining its quirky character, is second-to-none and pretty much everything you could wish for has been provided. Aysgarth is a great base for travelling to other towns and villages in North Yorkshire, as well as having fantastic scenery and lovely walks right there on the doorstep. A visit (or three) to Hamilton's Tea Rooms, adjacent to the cottage, is a must as the proprietor is very entertaining. Slightly further afield, The Saddle Room at Forbidden Corner and Humble Pie, at Askrigg are both highly recommended, with good reason! Can't wait for a return visit ❤
Just want to give some fantastic feedback on our recent stay at Aysgarth Nook; recently fully refurbished to a really high spec by our friends & owners Sarah & Sean McDermott. When we arrived as a group into Aysgarth having travelled along the winding country roads amid rolling snow capped hills it felt like the ‘George Micheal - Last Christmas’ video. It was so welcoming; Sean had lit the wonderful log burner an the whole place was like an oven. We all had our own En-Suite rooms with all the latest mid-cons including pictures & mirrors that were radiators! Wonderful kitchen space, central for the afternoon ‘activities’ and dining and afterwards into the evening spending time in the huge comfort lounge with a few drinks whilst our wonderful DJ Alexa played anything the we shouted at her. To top it off a dip in the 40degree hot tub overlooking the Wensleydale skyline did it for us. Highly recommend the Nook & Aysgarth itself; not been since u was young; great weekend. Thanks so much Sarah & Sean xx
What a fabulous time we had in this most tastefully renovated 5 bed period property. No expense had been spared and it was certainly money well spent. In beautiful countryside, lovely pub over the road what more could one want? The property lacked for nothing including a jacuzzi which was very popular even in the freezing cold winter. Perhaps the bubbly helped?! We ll certainly be going back provided it’s not booked up!
Myself and my family stayed recently at Aysgarth Nook. ( As well as our doggie!) As a seasoned traveller it takes a lot for me to be truly awed by where I stay. Upon arrival I was truly blown away by the cottage. It is a luxurious, high end property where a great deal of thought has been put into making your stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed just after New Year and it was lovely to have the log fire burning and then be able to sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine and watch the stars. The beds are very comfortable and I loved the bath inside the bedroom on the top floor. The kitchen is a true showstopper and it was lovely to be able to sit comfortably all around the large table at the end of the day. There is lots to see and do in the local area, I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a very memorable stay in Aysgarth! I will definitely be booking again!
We had a wonderful stay at Aysgarth Nook. The cottage is in a beautiful, serene location and has been finished to a very high standard. Everything from the bed linen and furniture to the modern kitchen equipment is of a high quality. The spacious hot tub was a welcome addition to our stay and we will definitely return in the future.
Had a great holiday here. The location is terrific and there was lots to do in the surrounding area. Leyburn is a super little town and just down the road. However the house is so nice we didn’t want to go out! The owners have thought of everything and we are already planning to return. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Had a fab weekend at Aysgarth Nook This place really has it all, the attention to detail is amazing Surrounded by rolling hills in God’s own country Perfect for groups of friends or large family’s The kitchen boasts size, quality & every mod con you may need to produce a family feast! However plenty of pubs on the doorstep if cooking is not your bag........ Every room is individual, warm & welcoming The hot tub is so inviting just what you need at the end of a hill hike 5 stars all round Highly recommend
Had an amazing winter weekend with friends in this lovely property. The hot tub outside is a huge bonus, but inside is a welcoming and cosy retreat with plenty of room for large groups. It is a luxurious home from home property and can't wait to stay again !
