Design delight

You’ve already admired the rolling Yorkshire Dales as you approach the traditional stone farmhouse. But nothing has prepared you for the feast of interior design that awaits behind the front door. Every space has been exquisitely designed to offer comfortable living surrounded by sumptuous patterns, colours and textures. Owner and interior designer Rita Konig is the creator behind this glorious holiday home and as you walk through each of the lovely rooms you see why Elle Décor featured it.

Choose from no less than three living spaces. For quieter moments, sit back and relax in the Green Room where florals and stripes sit before the open fire. Grab a book or two from the next-door TV Room with another open fire and 50” smart TV. The children in your party will be in seventh heaven in the Playroom, complete with games console and more than enough room to let off steam.

Step into your country kitchen-diner where a full-length dresser takes pride of place in elegant olive green with the Aga in the centre. The rustic table comfortably sits all of you and makes the perfect spot for get-togethers.

Upstairs, each of the seven bedrooms continues the glorious design theme. Fancy a four-poster? Then bag the Ropley bedroom. Love a Jean Monro chintz? Then yours is the Aylmer. But whatever your taste, there’s a supremely comfy bedroom waiting for you.

Step outside into your private garden and patio with barbecue and all that wonderful Yorkshire countryside to view. Further afield, you’re spoilt for choice in landscapes and architecture – the Yorkshire Dales with Richmond and Barnard Castle are on the doorstep. And then there’s the sea at Saltburn and the iconic Lake District. Slightly nearer to home is the village of Piercebridge with farmer’s shop and gastropub. Yours to explore before it’s back to your feast of design.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Each of the seven spacious bedrooms is exclusively designed with feature walls, unique artwork and carefully chosen pieces. There are four generously sized bathrooms on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor.
