Description

A beautiful cottage on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, Trehafod is the perfect home for an adventure in Wales. A true rural retreat, you’ll discover golden sands just a short drive away, stunning peaks across the bridge, and rugged countryside right on your doorstep. With a private hot tub, breathtaking views, and a cosy wood burner-warmed hearth, this property offers a luxury, 5-star stay for cosy family getaways or big group breaks.

A detached home in the hills

As you open the doors to the indulgently decorated living space, the gently warmed, wood floors welcome you to this luxurious home. The contemporary and cosy lounge comes with a comfortable three-seater sofa, with twin two-seaters, a large Smart TV, and the feature modern wood burner. The open-plan A-frame room includes a stylish, and spacious kitchen diner, with everything you could need to cook feasts for the family. A beautiful stainless range nestles between the cottage-style units, along with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and luxury Tassimo coffee machine. Inside the neatly tucked-away utility cupboard, you'll also find a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

This high-class property sleeps eight discerning guests across four beautifully decorated bedrooms. Two bedrooms include super-king beds which can be optionally made into twins, while bedroom three and four come with a super-king and double respectively. The cottage comes with two en-suites and a family bathroom, all including large rain-showers, with two rooms also boasting cosy tubs for long, relaxing soaks.

Because of its stunning location in the rural countryside of Anglesey, Trehafod has enclosed front and rear gardens, with far-reaching views across the Isle and beyond. Pop the cork, pour a drink, and relax in the comfort of a bubbling, private jacuzzi with expansive horizons across North Wales. The property is just two miles from the iconic Menai Bridge that connects the beautiful Isle to the Welsh mainland, and the quaint coastal town of Beaumaris filled with fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops.

Practicalities

Parking for up to 4 cars. Names and age range of guests will be required prior to arrival. A starter pack for your wood burner is provided and additional logs can be purchased for £3 per bag. Peter from R,

Can't praise this accommodation highly enough. Trehafod is an amazing property! More like a 5 star hotel! Having stayed in many excellent cottages, have never been to one as well equipped as this one, there truly is everything you could possibly need! Equipped to the highest standard, spotlessly clean, beautiful bedding, fantastic fixtures and fittings. The standard of bedding and furnishings is superb, local artwork on Wales, an incredible hot tub, so much thought has gone into creating this property, it truly is a home from home with the most welcoming of hosts. From start to finish the experience has been a delight! Fantastic service from Best of Wales both over the phone and on the website - smooth, slick and hassle free! Spent my birthday weekend there with close family and we all loved every minute of it. We received such a warm welcome on arrival and that continued from the incredible welcoming hosts, nothing was too much trouble! The property is in a fabulous location, remote enough for peace and quiet yet still within easy distance of so many places. I can't rate Trehafod highly enough.....so much so already wanting to re-book!! Loved loved loved it! Thank you, will definitely return!

Susan from L,

2 nights in November to celebrate my birthday. Absolutely beautiful property, owners very helpful and lovely welcome package of locally sourced food greatly appreciated. Fantastic 8 seater hot tub with lights and music, gorgeous log burner, under floor heating and really comfortable beds. Kitchen was well equipped to cater for all our needs. Loved the views across the open countryside, felt so at home. Car needed but lots to visit within a short distance. Highly recommended. Would love to return to enjoy again.

Mrs Bev B,

Just to say briefly that this property was by far the best equipt that we have ever stayed in, a big thank you to the owners nothing is too much trouble, an exemplary property to be proud of well done!

Mr P K,

Fantastic property at a location convenient to Zipworld activities.

Mrs Gail M,

Trehafod is a stunning property, with no expenses spared on the building and furnishings - the attention to detail is spot on! The owners have used local craftsmen in converting the stone farm building to the luxurious cottage it is now, and the addition of items like a large range cooker, woodburning stove and swim spa make for a wonderful break. We couldn't have felt more welcome or pampered! Although only on Anglesey for a couple of days, we had a magical time there - highlights were exploring the copper mines of Parys Mountain and the Neolithic burial site of Bryn Celli Ddu.

Candia from C,

Excellent property and excellent hosts. Property furnished to a high standard with everything you need. Hot tub amazing and welcomed after a day out

Mrs Emma C,

The property was exceptional, all high spec inside i would recommend this house to anyone whom is thinking of renting a property in north wales ,the owners were fantastic and could not do enough for us. plenty to do within a 10 minute drive. Once home the hot tub was a great way to relax.

Miss Lisa J,

The cottage has been carefully designed to meet the needs of visitors and their families. The layout makes the cottage very flexible, especially the variety of the bedrooms. The fittings, furnishing and décor have been finished to the highest standards. Outside, the gardens, garden furniture and other facilities are equally top drawer. The garden provides a safe playing area for children, and the patio looks out over stunning views and glorious sunsets. The owners are clearly committed to maintaining their high standards and to developing and improving the cottage and its facilities. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The "Best of Wales" website got our holiday planning off to a great start. Easy to follow, comprehensive in content and a top class photo gallery. Future information and correspondence was timely and precise. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the island whilst remaining within easy reach of the mainland to visit Snowdonia, Conwy Valley etc. The cottage accommodation is flexible to suit different family requirements. It has been finished to the highest standards and continues to be maintained to those standards. The hosts take care of your every need and nothing is too much trouble.
