Description

This beautiful property is the perfect bolthole for a couple looking for a romantic getaway, or who just want to drop out of circulation for a while, seeking a relaxing holiday in a stunning location. It is tucked away down a leafy lane in the tranquil River Camel Valley.

The Hayloft is a newly converted barn offering contemporary and stylish accommodation. The underfloor heating and woodburner will ensure visitors to The Hayloft are warm whatever the weather. Although there are extensive grounds to roam, there is also an enclosed courtyard garden exclusively for The Hayloft.

Bringing bikes or hiring them locally is highly recommended as The Hayloft is located right next to the Camel Trail, which offers 18 miles of off road walking and cycling. You can cycle through the old market town of Wadebridge and on to Padstow and the Camel estuary one way or inland to The Snail Pace cafe found at Wenford Bridge on Bodmin Moor. The Hayloft provides a secure building for storing bikes and surfboards, etc.

The grounds also include a stretch of the River Camel that is accessible to guests who can fish on the private land of The Dairy (please note that a Rod Licence for fishing needs to be purchased).

Ideally located for exploring the whole of Cornwall being only a 10-15-minute drive from the A30. So a trip to Tate St Ives is only an hour away, the Eden Project about 25 minutes and it's only a 20-minute drive to Padstow and the North Coast beaches. You are well placed to explore the rest of Cornwall and discover those special hidden places that have drawn so many to our county over the years.

The tranquil setting of The Hayloft is the perfect stop to relax and chill out after a busy day. So whether your perfect holiday consists of participating in a range of activities, sightseeing or a relaxing break; then The Hayloft is the place for you!
However, you choose to spend your holiday you are bound to make a return visit to this lovely spot.

The Hayloft and its sister barns The Stable and The Byre make up The Dairy Barns. They have been lovingly restored to provide luxury accommodation, full of character and charm. Though totally detached and independent from each other, they can be booked together to make the perfect venue for family get-togethers and celebrations.

Reviews

Quiet location, comfortable and well appointed.

Mrs H,

We had a great week Camel trail on the doorstep pub across the road loads of things to visit we managed to fit it all in and saw some wild close up fox’s, rabbits etc. all in all a great place and lovely cottage thank you for allowing us to stay

Mr D,

Myself, my husband and our Labrador puppy had a really lovely time staying at the Hayloft. The accommodation was warm and welcoming, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Location is fantastic too, literally right on the Camel trail. We would definitely return.

Mrs B,

A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and everything you needed for self catering. The Camel Trail is a short walk from the cottage. We walked to Wadebridge one day and another day stopped off at Camel Trail Tea Garden, the cream tea was delicious. Excellent location for visiting Padstow, Charlestown Harbour, Boscastle and Bude. Ideal location for visiting coastal villages, we visited Padstow, Charlestown Harbour, Boscastle and Bude.

Mrs C,

Lovely converted barn with everything to hand. Second stay at this holiday cottage.

Mrs P,

Beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet location, but within driving distance for the beautiful beaches.

Mrs G,

Lovely property, ideally located to explore all of Cornwall

Mr J,

Warm, cosy well layed out cottage. Just right for the 2 of us. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower delightful. Overall we had a great time and the owners checked that we were warm enough and comfortable while not being intrusive. Would definitely return, delightful location.

Mrs N,

We looked for somewhere central for our first trip to Cornwall, and couldn't have wished for a more fantastic location and property, for us and Ellie our dog! The renovation is excellent! The barn was cosy, comfortable and very well equipped for a week of self catering (although there is also a pub within walking distance with good food and beer). Right on the camel trail it's a great location for walkers and cyclists. We visited Tintagel, St Necturns glen, the lost gardens of Heligan, lands end and the coastal path, Newquay, St Michael's mount, the Luxulyan Valley, the Crown Mines at Botallack, all were relatively in easy distance and stunning even though we had rain for the first half of the week (but there's no such thing as bad weather only the wrong clothing!) A perfect first stay in Cornwall and would definitely book again when we return.

Mrs H,

Lovely accommodation, very comfortable

Mr M,
