Description

Feel your soul expand as you settle into this vast conversion. Breathe in those huge Norfolk skies and relax into space. Belong in every inch of this spectacular and sprawling home away from home.

Oozing elegance

You could be forgiven for thinking you’ve escaped to an urban warehouse conversion. But The Cattle Shed was once exactly what it says on the tin. And this spectacular barn conversion is like no other. The attention to detail in the dressing of this property is exquisite. And with graphic designer owners, you’d expect nothing less.

Exposed stone walls, original artworks, a copper jug here, perfectly placed fairy lights there. This luxury Norfolk holiday cottage is Pinterest personified. And, more importantly, it’s all yours.

Gather around the enormous island in the utterly vast kitchen with its exceedingly smart handmade DeVOL units to plan your day or prepare your supper. Norfolk is foodie heaven after all, so gather your gorgeous local produce by day and cook together by night. After you’ve created the perfect flatplan to nourish your Insta feed, delight in the flavours of Norfolk! Convene around the more-than-ample farmhouse table to relive your days out in gorgeous Well-next-the-Sea.

Perhaps you’ll take a moment on the squashy sofa, or retreat to your own leather armchair. In this place, you can enjoy a little me time, or dive right into communal big group holiday living. The choice is yours.

Emperor sized beds are dressed with the dreamiest of linens in the calm, elegant bedrooms. Edgy lighting is calmed by nods to the rural past of this building and as you settle in for a night under the rafters, you’ll feel totally at home in luxury. Children will fall for the wall of double bespoke wooden bunk beds with late-night chatter and memories to be made every day. Moody, glistening copper tones define the utterly sumptuous bathrooms. Soak your stresses away under the powerful rainfall shower.

Two dogs are welcome to join your group of ten because Norfolk is perhaps the most pet-friendly county around. Walkies from the door will lead you to the shore or off the tourist trail to rural paths and beyond.

The Cattle Shed is near the beautiful seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, where you can feel the sand between your toes and explore the beautiful coastline. Colourful beach huts decorate the coastline against a woodland backdrop. A little further along the coast, you'll find the vast expanse of Holkham beach, where the Household Cavalry can be seen galloping the shores on their summer break.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The master bedroom enjoys a heavenly big emperor bed and en suite wet room with rain shower. Of the two king-size rooms, one has an en suite shower room, the other a bath with shower over. Children will delight in the room with two sets of bunks and their own shower room.

Reviews

Cottage really nice, great accommodation and family space

Mr H,

A large, very comfortable house that has everything you need. In a remote location but nice pubs nearby. Very wet week so we stayed in a lot - not a hardship.
