It isn’t often that you can be right at the heart of the action in one of Cornwall’s most attractive and busiest resorts but enjoy complete tranquillity at the same time. Old Custom House Barn combines the best of both worlds and to perfection.
Make your way up the spiral staircase as you admire the Cornish black slate façade and step inside your Padstow haven. All strikingly modern and open plan with views to die from those big windows on two sides. Yes, that’s the Camel estuary twinkling out there for you to admire. See the tides ebb and flow from the plush black leather sofas, impossible to resist. Watch the gentle waves from the smart breakfast bar as you sip your morning coffee. And then gaze at the night sky over the inky water from your bedroom. All in absolute peace and quiet.
The stunning conversion of Custom House Barn includes lots of space, wooden floors and plenty of windows to let in the unique sparkle of the Cornish light. And then there are the details – luxurious cotton for supreme comfort and rest, original art and décor features to rest your eye on when you tire of the estuary views, all the appliances… And then, gem of gems, a private parking space, just yours and in the heart of Padstow.
Because this is perhaps the biggest luxury of all: you can arrive, park and then enjoy the delights of Padstow and the Camel Estuary on foot from your doorstep. The busy harbour is practically next door while the long list of foodie venues, galleries and craft shops lie on the doorstep. And perhaps take a trip across those sparkling waters, the very ones you look at from your Padstow retreat.
