Description
Elegant simplicity, rustic intimacy, and modern comfort combine to make Gorwel the ultimate luxury self-catering retreat for families and friends looking to get away from it all. Nestled on a hillside on the Llyn Peninsula, and just a ten-minute walk to the beach, this uncomplicated and modern log cabin commands views over the countryside and the sea.
A history of hospitality
Abersoch and the Llyn peninsula have long attracted pilgrims and travellers wanting a taste of a different life. The Llyn peninsula is still known for its remoteness and unspoilt image, and Gorwel captures this legacy to perfection. Beneath exposed ceiling beams and soft lighting, a discerningly chosen open-plan layout allows guests to enjoy near-panoramic coastal views while curled up on the sofa or sitting around the table with loved ones. The deck, furnished with a table and chairs, is the best place to dine al fresco and share a glass of wine at sunset. Or after a long, lazy day at the beach, why not gaze out at the world from the hot tub and feel time slowly melt away.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Gorwel hosts a twin room and a family room, making it perfect for families and groups of friends alike. For slightly larger groups, the family room has a double bed and a single bed, and both rooms share the convenience of the family bathroom with shower and WC. Faithful to its design around warm comfort and untouched beauty, both bedrooms offer wonderful views. What better way to wake up than with the promise of every new day?
Practicalities
We can only welcome family and couples at this property. We also welcome one well-behaved pet. Please note that pets are only allowed in the living area and should never be left on their own in the cabin. Upon request, we can provide a cot and high chair, but we ask that you please bring your own cot linen and bedding. Please also note we are unable to guarantee that the hot tub will have reached it's optimum temperature on arrival due to thorough cleaning and maintenance that must take place between each booking.
