Overflowing with charm and character, this secluded gorgeous stone cottage sitting near the coastal village of Ravenscar is the ideal accommodation option for romantic getaway to celebrate your special dates or small Families who want to immerse themselves in the rugged beauty of this stretch of the Yorkshire coast. Offering sea views along the Heritage Coast and across to Robin Hood’s Bay, it sits in a truly blessed position. Pop into the Ravenscar Visitor Centre (1.5 miles), where you’ll find all the information you need about the local area. Follow the self-guided trail around the village that tells the tale of ‘The Town that Never Was’, or head down to the rocky beach (1.5 miles) to see the resident seals. Alternatively, hop on your bike and discover the Cinder Track cycle route, which runs from the village all the way to Scarborough (10.5 miles). Along the way, you’ll take in some amazing views of Robin Hood’s Bay, the secluded cove at Hayburn Wyke and plenty of rolling farmland. Or make your way into Whitby (14 miles) for the day and lose yourself in its winding cobbled streets, visit the ruins of Whitby Abbey, which are said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and sample the local seafood. In Scarborough (11 miles), take a surf lesson, go dolphin-spotting on a boat trip, or take a stroll around the medieval castle.

After a glorious day on the Yorkshire Coast, come home to this cosy cottage, step inside and take a moment to make yourself at home in the lovely lounge. Relax in front of the TV or simply enjoy the view through the patio doors. When it’s time for dinner, head to the stylish kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to let your culinary talents shine. Dine in front of the wood burner in the stylish dining room before returning to the lounge to relax with a glass of wine. Down the hall and few steps down, you’ll find a beautiful king size bed bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Take in the views through the pretty arch window, or step through the French doors onto the patio to look at the stars. Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find a twin bedrooms – one twin an en-suite bathroom. Above the kitchen there is a last single bedroom to relax after long day of exploring. 

Outside, you’ll discover a beautiful, large gardens with spectacular sea views. You can pick from two patios with seating for al fresco dining. There’s also a wonderful summer house with a large decking area. Both boast glorious sea views.

Fantastic location, with views out to sea. The accommodation is light and bright, warm and welcoming. Furnishings, bed linen, towels, etc are of high quality. Dogs are clearly welcome, with dog bowl, blankets and treats and a large area to walk them. We were made to feel at home by the ever busy owner! We will be back for a 3rd visit, I’m sure.
