Enter a world of design where quirky, stunning and opulent features create a relaxing retreat. Settle into the designer sofa, soak into secret garden hot tub, then relax some more in your beautiful boudoir.
The elegant façade with its stylish kerb appeal gives just a hint of what’s behind the smart door, but nothing prepares you for the feast of design within the four walls of this traditional stone cottage. Every nook and cranny has been exquisitely decorated and decorated with decadent antique and modern touches. And that’s just the inside. The retreat’s traditional past comes alive in the feature ceiling beams, stone nooks and sloping eaves in the bedroom. Choice antique pieces add to a timeless touch. But contemporary design plays a big part too with bespoke furniture and decoration showcased in each of the rooms.
In the sitting room, classic florals bloom on a very modern sofa while Italian bronze plasterwork makes the perfect feature wall along with an outsized mirror. The inlaid table offers intimate dining by the window, also home to a stunning jade window seat. The list of designer touches in the kitchen runs long – think Smeg, Silestone and Bosch – and in this nook of the cottage you’ll find the door to that secret garden.
Upstairs, the master bedroom combines opulence and comfort, providing the perfect retreat after a long day exploring local delights. Luxurious fabrics – think velvet, silk and cashmere – adorn the bed while the lacquered wardrobe brings an oriental touch to your boudoir. Exquisite touches continue in the bathroom while vibrant jade tiles come edged in copper, also reflected in the tap and shower fixtures.
Outside, once you’ve stepped along the sensory walkway, you’ll discover a secret oasis. Your very own sunken Italian garden complete with ancient olive tree watching over the hot tub, twinkling fairy lights and an outdoor kitchen made for al fresco dining at its best.
At the gateway to the stunning Yorkshire Dales, this cottage is also within easy driving distance of the county’s finest cities. Ripon, Harrogate and perhaps the UK’s finest cathedral city, York, all await you nearby. If you can resist the call of the secret garden and stay away for long, that is.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
This design retreat comes with two bedrooms, one master and one with children’s bunk beds. There’s one bathroom on the first floor. Up the bespoke steps next to the bunks lies a den, yet another secret space just waiting to be discovered in this Yorkshire design dream.
We've had a brilliant family holiday in North Yorkshire. The cottage is so well equipped and is a haven for relaxation, which was just what we needed. There are so many options to explore and we loved Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge, The Himalayan Gardens, Lightwater Valley and a decent afternoon tea at Betty's in Harrogate. There's still so much left for us to see and we'll be back. Thank you.
Had a wonderful week in the cottage, it is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! Had a great walk to Hackfall woods and a day at the Himalayan gardens. We ate at the Queens Head twice, the food was tasty and hearty. The locals are so friendly. Also had a meal at the Galphy which was nice. Look forward to returning again soon
We had a lovely stay here at Park View Cottage. The perfect place for our mini moon. We loved the hot tub and courtyard, had a BBQ and sampled some of the local restaurants. Some of the highlights were visiting Forbidden Corner and the Black Sheep brewery. As well as cosying up in the den and by the fireplace to play boardgames and watch movies
What an incredible cottage! We have made the most of the fabulous hot tub and cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner on the BBQ. I couldn't imagine finding a place with more stunning decor and such a high quality finish. Brilliant from start to end. We'll be back.
What a glorious few days - spring has arrived early! Lunched at the Crown, Grewelthorpe and the Galphay Inn. Both a stunning walk away. Take the time to head up to Hackfall and Fountains Abbey also worth a visit. Kirkby Fisheries kept us fed every night!
We had a fabulou time at the cottage celebrating a very special 60th birthday. Time in the hot tub was super, along with watching films in the den with the children. Thanks for a great break.
We stayed here fir 3 nights over New Year with our two children (aged 11 and 13) our entire stay couldn't have been more perfect, from the outdoor in the hot tub to see the new year in was fantastic - a real memory! Thanks for everything - hope to be back.
Spent a lovely couple of days here between Christmas and New Year with our tow teenage boys. The cottage is beautiful and cosy and very stylish. Alex and Sarah are great hosts. Thank you!
We stayed at Park View over May half term with our two young girls (aged 5 and 7) - What a fantastic property! We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather and the outside kitchen and hot tub which, are amazing and we put to good use! The den for the girls was a added bonus! Thanks to Alex for being a great host, we would highly recommend Park View and hope to visit again soon.
I recently stayed here for 6 nights and it is a relaxing place to have a holiday. The hosts have furnished to an excellent standard. They were also incredible helpful from the start of my stay with a welcome hamper, right to the end with the smoothest check out I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this place to others
